Dubthaigh

Dubthaigh or O'Dubthaigh is the name of an Irish tribe providing the origins of the name Duffy or Duffie. The name means either "dark man" or "the one from the dark house", and embraces many of the notable clerics linked to Cong, many of them called Saint Dubtach.[citation needed]
