Eamon McDevitt (c. 1943 – 18 August 1971), was a 28-year-old deaf and mute man who was shot and killed by the British army in August 1971.
Shooting[edit]
On 18 August 1971 at around 6pm on Fountain Street McDevitt was shot by members of the Royal Marines.[1]
