Educational Institution history[edit]
The educational institution's history leads back to 1901. The institution's location, Londonderry, also signifies the oak twig on the school crest.
Schools Issues and Problems[edit]
Dispute occurred when the government of Derry & Strabane concluded funding for extra-curricular and independent activities in educational institutions. The Department of Education were criticised heavily for their ignorance in involvement to solve the issue.
The Department of Education were then criticised again in late March, 2020 for their ignorance in safety for the students in Derry. Most notably, Ebrington Primary School Principal, Mr. Brian Guthrie gave an interview to Belfast Telegraph about the overwhelming situation he and his staff were put under, while also trying to maintain safety & wellbeing in the classrooms.
