Edeh Benjamin is a Nigerian author, politician, and Pan-African advocate. He advocated the formation of a United African Republic to tackle insecurity in Nigeria,[1][2] and has written motivational messages aimed at youth, particularly in his 2025 book The Broken Wings of an Eagle.[3][4][5]
Career
In July 2025, Benjamin publicly proposed the creation of a United African Republic, a unified political and security federation of ECOWAS member states, as a bold strategy to confront persistent terrorism and regional instability across Nigeria and West Africa.[1][2][5]
Earlier, in February 2025, as the author of The Broken Wings of an Eagle, he encouraged Nigerian youths to remain resilient and hopeful despite the challenges they face, calling his book a guide for strength and transformation.[3][6]
Political involvement
In 2022, Benjamin served as the Bauchi State Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, a role in which he became active in party communications and grassroots mobilization.[7][8]
During the 2023 general election campaign, he was named Head of Media for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council in the North East, where he coordinated publicity efforts for the party in the region.[9]
He later became recognized as a Labour Party chieftain in the North East, continuing to play an active role in political engagement and party activities at the regional level.[10]
