Edelmiro Bascuas

Edelmiro Bascuas López (15 April 1931 in Castroverde – 10 February 2011 in Coruna) was a Galician linguist and theologian.[1]

Life[edit]

He studied in the Seminar of Mondoñedo and later gave classes of Greek and French in this centre.[2] In 1957 he became graduated in Theology by the University of Salamanca, and in 1968 graduated in classical languages in the University of Madrid. He became professor of Greek in half educations in Valencia and in Coruna.

He contributed in publications like Veleia, Estudios Mindonienses, Studi Celtici, Paleohispánica or Verba.[3]
