Edward Mathake (born May 29, 1992), better known by his stage name Edlustar, is a South African rapper, songwriter and Music Producer.
Career
Music career
Edward Mathake, better known by his stage name Edlustar, started recording music in 2012. Born and raised in the village of Penge, Limpopo, he has since released five mixtapes titled "Flooding The Streets", "Terminator", "4 Your Earz Only", "Hip-Hop Instrumentals" and "Pretoria City Lights", and two albums, "Me Against The World" and "Kgonego". In August 2017, Edlustar released his single "Of My Dreamz" on the "KFCsoundbite" music platform, where the record is now sitting at number 3 on the charts. He performed at the first KFCsoundbite event, which was held in Johannesburg on September 9, 2017, where he shared the stage with artists like Reason, Rouge, Flex Rabanyan, Una Rams and Riky Rick. The same year, in October, he was co-signed by HypeMagazineSA after they discovered his single "Of My Dreamz". .[1]
He appeared in "dailySun" several times and was featured on the music website "ILoveThisTrack" as featured artist of the day[2]
