Edward J. (Ted) Hutchinson

Edward J. (Ted) Hutchinson is the editor of The Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics and Executive Director of the journal's parent organization, the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics. Hutchinson has served as Editor since 2003 and Executive Director since 2009. He is the longest-serving editor in the forty-five year history of the Journal.[1]

Hutchinson has also served on the editorial boards of the Cambridge Dictionary of Bioethics and the journal Finest Hour. His writing has appeared in many publications, including Finest Hour, Firsts, and the New England Quarterly.[2] [3]

Background and education[edit]

Hutchinson graduated from Providence College with high honors in 1998 with a degree in history, and received a Master's Degree in History from Tufts University in 2000. He completed his coursework towards a Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia. Hutchinson has taught history at Tufts, the University of Virginia, and the New England College of Business & Finance.
