Edwin Alfred Provencal
Edwin Alfred Nii Obodai Provencal is a Ghanaian public servant and the Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited.[1][2][3][4]

Provencal attended the Accra Academy for his O-Level and A-Level certificate,[5] and continued at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He obtained his Master of Philosophy in economics and his MBA in management and information systems from the University of Ghana, and a postgraduate diploma in financial management from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He also has a Project Management Professional certificate, which he obtained from the Project Management Institute, USA,[1][6] and a product of the College of Executive Coaching.[7]
Career[edit]
Provencal begun as an adjunct lecturer at the Central University in 2001. There, he taught Management Information Systems at postgraduate level for about nine years. Following his post graduate studies at the University of Ghana in 2002, Provencal joined K-Net as a Business Development Manager.[8] After two years of service with the company, he gained employment at ExZeed Company Limited, a subsidiary of the then Ghana Telecom (now Vodafone Ghana). There, he worked as the General Manager of the company's Back Office, and later became the Chief Officer of the company in 2006. In 2008, Provencal became the Chief Officer of Customer Care at Vodafone Ghana. After a year at the Customer Care department, he was moved to the National Communications Backbone Company Limited, a subsidiary of Vodafone Ghana, where he was made Managing Director.[9] In February 2011, he was made the head of the Strategy and Planning department of Vodafone Ghana. After about nine months serving in that capacity, he was appointed Managing Director of Vodafone Wholesale, also a subsidiary of Vodafone Ghana. After about two months in this appointment, he joined Globacom, where he was responsible for wholesale and enterprise in the company's branch in Ghana. In 2013, he founded Provencal and Associates Ghana Limited and served as a Managing Partner of the firm from 2013 until August 2018 when he was made Technical Adviser to the Minister of Energy.[10] In August 2019, Provencal was appointed Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited.[1] He succeeded George Mensah Okley.[6][7][11][12][13] He is also a founder and member of the Ghana Association of IT Services and Companies (GASSCOM).[6][7]
