History[edit]

Although Egan Company was officially founded in 1945, its practical beginnings date back to 1903 when Joseph Egan opened a pipefitting shop in Northeast Minnesota, along the Iron Range. After the onset of World War I, Egan relocated to Minneapolis, where he started a plumbing business. Business functions were forced to stop during World War II, but when the eldest brothers returned from duty, they used $3,000 in funding to start up Egan & Sons Plumbing and Heating Company.[1]

Safety Program and Award[edit]

"Safety Brings You Home" is the adopted slogan of Egan Company's safety program. In 2014 and again in 2020, Egan Company was named one of America's Safest Companies[3] to work for by EHS Today Magazine.[4]
