"I fell into acting by complete surprise. I was playing Clash Royal in my room, got bored, and decided to go for a walk. I ended up at an audition, but I had never really taken acting seriously before. To my surprise, I got the role. I took it as a sign that this was what I was meant to do. I am big on Destiny, but this destiny, wasn't easy, I had to find an acting teacher who could teach me all I needed to know, I found Shannon Lawson, she helped me learn the basics, the rest I learned for shooting monologues, it took time, I thought I was ready. I traveled from city to city and never seemed to get the parts I wanted. The pressure got to me, And it spiraled me into a great depression. I would travel to different cities and find myself at a park bench each time, asking why am I there, I was full of fear of not being good enough, but I couldn't turn back I'll lose money, so I went through it, yet I failed the get the job, I was stressed, was about to pack it all in, when modeling discovered me. In a sense it saved me, yet I didn't feel that was where I belonged for the long term. A passion for acting is still buried deep within my heart. I dove back into acting after a year of modeling and never looked back.
Because I grew up in front of the television As Child, this is my life
As an immigrant child in a country not my own, growing up wasn't easy it was terrible. I was born in South Sudan thinking I was not going to make out, at age of 4 to 5 I had experiences with snakes, alligators, soldiers during the civil war, I have seen blood and shortly after, we moved to Egypt for 5 years before migrating to Canada with my family, Egypt wasn’t easy I faced racism where someone would call me names just because I had darker skin, everyone would join in, even grown ups as well, it came to a point where my cousin who was around 14 we were at the market I was 9 years old, these elder teenagers about 6 of them came chanting chocolate and other words, but don’t get me wrong I love chocolate, but I was mad so I stood up, I could hear my cousin calling don’t do it Emanuel, I was mad so I didn’t listen, they tried to attack me but my cousin came to defend, I felt bad he got beat up because of me, I grew more hate, seeing the world as my enemy. Moving to Canada I felt lost. I found it difficult to adjust to the huge culture shock in those early days. I fought at school, skipped classes, and started to isolate myself from other kids. This only proved to fuel further bullying and depression. The only solace I seemed to find was in my 9th-grade drama class. It was in that class that I discovered in my heart that acting was a path I may consider trying to pursue, at least I wasn’t too sure about it, I was always lost. everything I remember was that come home every day after school I would sit in front of the tv, It was the only escape from reality it gave me peace, I wanted to be on Tv, but I fondly remember at age 11, sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night at 2 Am to go to the playground and dream. I'd gaze into the night's sky, laying on top of a playground structure and wishing upon the stars that someday I would become famous and help my family. But I had no idea how I would get there or what I will do when I grow, I believe this dream will someday come true, proving that you can accomplish anything; even against all odds, as long as you keep pushing forward'
