Emmbi Industries is an Indian company in the field of woven polyethylene and polypropylene products.[2][3]

The company is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra with 10 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities situated at Silvassa, Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu, India.[3][4]

Emmbi Industries is a public listed company manages shares from National Stock Exchange (NSEEMMBI) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE533161).[5][6][7]

History

Emmbi Industries (then, Emmbi Polyarns Pvt. Ltd.) was incorporated in 1994, by first-generation entrepreneurs Makrand Appalwar and Rinku Appalwar.[8] The company installed its first extrusion plant in 1997 and started its first business in woven polyethylene and polypropylene bags.[9]

On April 1, 1999, Emmbi Industries was converted into a public limited company and the name was changed to Emmbi Polyarns Ltd.[10] In 2003, Emmbi completely refurbished the down stream equipment of the Extrusion line to increase the operating speed of the machine from 100 kg/hr to 225 kg/hr plant. In 2005, the company purchased a new unit at Rakholi.[9]

In 2008, the company became a member of Small & Medium Business Development Chamber of India.[10]

In 2010, Emmbi was listed on two major stock exchanges, BSE & NSE.

Avana, a subsidiary of Emmbi Industries was founded in 2016 by Maithili Appalwar.[11] The company provides water conservation ideas to Farmers.[12][13] Sayaji Shinde is the brand ambassador for Avana for 2021.[14]
