Enes ARIKAN
Akif Enes Arıkan is a Turkish specialist doctor in General Surgery and an academic.[1] He is particularly known for his work in breast surgery, thyroid surgery, parathyroid surgery, and adrenal surgery.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Education
Dr. Arıkan studied medicine at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (English Medicine Program) between 2003 and 2009.[1] He completed his residency in General Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 2011 and 2016.[1]
In 2016, he received clinical fellow training at the University of Insubria, Chirurgia I, in Varese, Italy.[1]
He was awarded the title of General Surgery Specialist in 2016.[1]
Career
He completed his mandatory state service between 2017 and 2018 at Erzurum Horasan State Hospital. He then joined Acıbadem Healthcare Group in 2018 and worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Acıbadem Maslak Hospital.[7]
During the same period, he continued his academic career as a faculty member at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University School of Medicine, where he participated in academic studies and educational activities. He served as a board member of the Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Senology Research Institute between 2020 and 2024.[1]
In 2023, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in General Surgery.[1]
In 2025, he established the Endocrine and Breast Surgery Clinic at Acıbadem Kartal Hospital.[7]
Throughout his career, he has specialized in the surgical treatment of diseases such as breast cancer and benign breast masses, thyroid cancer, hyperparathyroidism, and adrenal tumors, focusing on robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.[1]
International Experience
In 2016, he participated in a clinical and research exchange program at the Endocrine Surgery Department of the University of Insubria in Milan, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gianlorenzo Dionigi.[1]
