Life and career
Esteban J Arcila gained recognition in 2018 with the podcast "Life is Beautiful" and in 2020 with the popular mix called "Paradise" that reached important streams on digital platforms. Member of the famous club Resident Advisor.[1]
Born in Colombia on March 13, 1999, he is passionate about electronic music. He has stood out for humanitarian leadership work in Colombia working on projects of great international relevance. He decided to jump into the ring as a DJ "to bring a message of peace from a country that lived through difficult times but knows that through culture it will succeed". He began his journey through electronic music as a child when he was interested in music synthesizer programs, electronic pianos and some time later, he began to perform events joining the guild of producers of events of great importance. His closeness and his real taste for music led him to study and prepare to launch his career as a DJ, positioning his name as a representative of "the good messages of Colombia to the world". His beginnings come from 2016 but it is in 2018 when he decides to join the dance floors.
In 2010 Esteban J Arcila participated in the movie 'High School Gig'[2] playing David. A film about a young immigrant who turns to prostitution to get out of a serious economic situation.[3]
In 2020 he became the image of the prestigious Colombian jewelry "Le Club Jewelry". Taking his image to spheres of fashion and luxury.
In 2021 he settled in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where he released his single "I Wanna Go", a popular Deep House track. That same year he began a tour in Colombia heading to the Middle East.[4]
He is cataloged by Colombian television as one of the young promises in the electronic scene for his social impact, carrying messages of peace through music.[5] The newspaper "El Nuevo Siglo"[6] and "Miami Diario"[7] have highlighted his musical work. The single "I Wanna Go" achieved significant recognition in Colombia and the United States. The television channel Citytv Bogotá interviews Esteban J Arcila highlighting his time in Dubai.[8]
He is also a renowned opinion columnist where his column on the mismanagement that the Colombian government was giving the COVID-19 pandemic became a trend in his native country.[9]
