Eugene Berger
Eugene Berger (born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1968) is a professional guitarist, music producer, composer, guitar teacher, recording artist, and composer. As an experienced musician who have an in-depth understanding about music specially guitars, he has participated in different musical projects in Europe and worked as a consultant to various musical instrument companies for more than 15 years.
Early life[edit]
Berger started his studies in music as a classical violinist. He graduated from one of the most competitive, finest, and selective music schools for gifted children. He developed a strong passion for playing the guitar when he was 12 years old and began touring Russia and different parts of Europe with various bands including the one which he started when he was 17 years old. With his knowledge on music theory, violin technique, and absolute pitch, he was able to master the use of guitar and even won the first prize of the different competitions for young guitarists that he joined.
Professional career[edit]
With his advanced technique, brilliant performance, and rich tone, Berger has quickly become a highly respected musician. He never stops improving his skills. He continually practices his passion for music even when his family migrated to Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1992. He strived to discover things that he thinks will help him become a better artist.
Along with the Garden of Eden band, Berger was invited to participate in a concert at the Palace Square as part of the Russian presidential election campaign that was participated by more than 100,000 people. He became a musical producer who produced the albums of many artists with different styles. He has fostered the careers of young musicians and even wrote some songs for them. Berger also played in several TV shows and commercials. Aside from this, Berger worked as a music teacher who uses his own experience and expertise to create a unique method to improve speed and hand synchronization.
He has proven himself as a highly competent guitar teacher when some of his students were able to become professional guitarists playing in orchestras and bands not just in Israel but in the United States and Europe as well. Several students of Berger were also accepted to the Academy of Music in Jerusalem. Since 2000, Berger has participated in various well-acclaimed theatrical productions both in Israel and abroad. These include The Marriage of Figaro, River, In Two Voices, and Devil in Moscow. He also worked as a house guitarist at Tel Aviv’s Gesher Theater, in which he was given the chance to perform in a concert held at the residence of Israeli President. Berger becomes the official endorser of USM for Washburn, Parker, and Randall. He also did the opening for The Aristocrats (band) in Tel Aviv in 2011. In 2011, he became one of the finalists at the International Competition for Guitarists Guitar Idol in London, England. Berger plans to publish his music techniques including the ones about hand synchronization and finger velocity in the future.
Eugene Berger has just successfully produced his very first instrumental rock-fusion album entitled “Triple Core”.
