Eyal Waldman (Hebrew: איל וולדמן, born July 16, 1960) is a businessman and entrepreneur in the high-tech field. He founded Mellanox Technologies, which was sold to Nvidia for over $7 billion in 2020, marking the second biggest exit in Israel.[1]

Business Career[edit]

Galileo Technologies[edit]

In 1993, Waldman co-founded Galileo Technology, which developed chips for communications networks. He served as vice president of engineering until 1999. In 2001, Galileo merged with Marvell Technology for $2.7 billion.[2]

Mellanox Technologies[edit]

In 1999, Waldman co-founded Mellanox Technologies, which developed high-speed communication systems using InfiniBand technologies. He served as CEO and later as chairman. Mellanox launched its IPO on Nasdaq in 2007 and was sold to Nvidia for over $7 billion in 2020.[3] Mellanox has employed about 200 Palestinian workers from various regions since 2013.

Waldman has also been involved in philanthropic efforts, including raising funds for an IDF field hospital for Gazans in 2019. In June 2022, he visited Saudi Arabia to meet with businessmen and governmental figures.[4]
