Ezra is a Canadian television mini series created by Luke Hutchie.[1] The series was picked up in August 2021 by OUTtv for a 10 episode commission.[2] The series focus' on a gay vampire who enters the human world in hopes to start a new life, however, things take a drastic turn. The series entered production March 2022. Priyanka, was announced to have joined the cast August 2022 by Deadline Hollywood.[3]
The series is produced by Luke Hutchie, Chelsea Clark, Jesse Forsey and Mike Cooke.[4]
Production companies for EZRA are Canadian based Hell Yes Entertainment, Garisole Entertainment, and End 2 End Media Group.[4] The series was also made in partnership with Bell Fund.[5]
Premise[edit]
After centuries of envying human life whilst living in the shadows, Ezra, a gay vampire, finally grows tired of the loneliness his vampiric roots bring him and flees to the human world, where his romance with a human, Ian, blossoms. Ezra's cousin catches word. Aniya, a ruler vampire, joins Ezra in the modern world but not for a family reunion - she seeks vengeance.
