Carlton D. Weekly (1993 – August 4, 2020), also known as FBG Duck, was a Chicago rapper.

Career[edit]

Weekly began rapping as FBG Duck in 2013;[3] he released his debut mixtape, Look At Me, in 2014.[4] In 2018, he released "Slide", which had 51 million views on YouTube at the time of his death;[1] a remix of the song featuring 21 Savage was released the same year.[5]

According to the Chicago Tribune, Weekly was a member of Tookaville, a set of the Gangster Disciples;[6] he was also affiliated with the Fly Boy Gang (FBG). His brother, a rapper using the alias FBG Brick, was shot to death in 2017.[7]

Death and aftermath[edit]

On August 4, 2020, Weekly was shopping on Oak Street when 4 people exited out of 2 cars and opened fire at him, his girlfriend and another person. Following this, the shooters re-entered the car and fled the scene. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Weekly was shot either 16 or 21 times, while his girlfriend was shot twice and the other person was shot thrice. After the shooting, he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was later declared dead. According to the police, the killing was possibly motivated by prior statements Weekly made towards deceased members of the Black Disciples.[1][8]

In 2021, 5 alleged members of O Block were indicted with his murder, in addition to assaulting two victims in aid of racketeering and firearms charges.[9]
