Falguni Shane Peacock is an Indian luxury clothing label headquartered in Mumbai and New York City, which designs, manufactures, distributes and retails haute couture and ready-to-wear.[1] It was founded by the fashion designer duo Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock in 2004.[2] The brand has a global presence such as Dubai, London, New York City, and Los Angeles, with distribution channels and partners.[3][4][5]

Falguni debuted in 2004 by showcasing their first resort collection at India Fashion Week.[6][7][8]

Fashion shows[edit]

Her creations have been spotted at major fashion events including Met Gala,[9] London Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, Cannes Red Carpet, American Music Awards,[10][11] Emmy Awards,[12] Grammy Awards, Oscar Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, The Voice (America), American Idol, and Wearable Art Gala.[13]

It has designed dresses for famous international celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Fergie, Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole, Naomie Harris, Shakira, Beyonce Knowles,[14] and Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,[15] Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Deepika Padukone.[16][17][18]

In 2018, the brand launched its inaugural menswear collection at the 2018 Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort in Mumbai.[19]

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week[edit]

Falguni Shane Peacock presented their collection at the Falguni Shane Peacock Fall 2008 during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, held at Smashbox Studios on the 11th of March, 2008 in Culver City, California.[20][21][22]

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) 2020[edit]

Falguni Shane Peacock participated at the Digital Indian Couture Week 20/21 to showcase a self-directed fashion film titled Spectacle Prive, which aimed to communicate the countless efforts and hardships put into bringing luxury couture to life.[23][24]

FDCI show 2021[edit]

Falguni Shane Peacock unveiled their collection, Love is, inspired by the monument of love, at the Indian Couture Week. The unveiling was done with a fashion film shot at the Taj Mahal, Agra. The collection was crafted by hand by a cluster of about 250 craftsmen from the FSP-adopted villages of Malihati, Islampur, Midnapore, Kharagpur, and Marthala in West Bengal.[25]

FDCI show 2022[edit]

Falguni Shane Peacock's collection was inspired by the rich heritage of the French that celebrated every evocative detail of the art and the artist. Every creation crafted depicted a melange of the new and the old to impeccably complement the desires of the new-age bride.[26][27]

Television series[edit]

In the sixth episode of And Just Like That..., Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, wore a lehenga from Falguni Shane Peacock's spring-summer 2020 collection.[28]

  • 2013: Won The Anokhi Prestige Awards for the international fashion designers of the decade Toronto.[29]
  • 2014: The pair was awarded the Bharat Samman Award, which The Nri Institute India constituted.[30]
  • 2014: Won The World Fashion Designer Award at The Miss World Beauty Pageant after competing with 125 nations.[31]
  • 2012: Won the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Designer Award India[32]
  • 2019: Won The Vogue Power List Award India.[33]
  • 2022: Received The Shiromani Award London.[34]
