The Great Wall[edit]

The Great Wall (长城) is more than 6,000 kilometres long. It has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part of it was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States Period, more walls were built to guard their kingdoms. After Qin unified six states, the first emperor of Qin had all the walls joined up. Thus, the Great Wall came into being.

Terra-Cotta Warriors[edit]

The terra-cotta warriors museum (兵马俑) is China's largest ancient military museum, and is known as "the eighth wonder of the world". There are three different sizes of the pit, There are about 8000 pottery horses and pottery figurineofs of similar size, and thousands of practical weapons.

Zhangjiajie[edit]

Zhangjiajie (张家界) is in the north-west of Hunan Province. It is the first national forest park in China. According to research, the historian have discovered that humans lived in Zhangjiajie 200, 000 years ago. Therefore, there are many cultural relics.

Dujiangyan[edit]

Dujiangyan (都江堰) is located west of Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province. It is the only and the oldest water control project that is still in use. 2000 years ago, Li Bing (李冰) biuld it. It is an ancient technological wonder of China.

Huanghe Tower[edit]

Huanghe Yower(黄鹤楼)is near Yangtze River, in Wuhan Province. It is known as 'the best tower in China'. Tt was built about 1800 years ago. Many famous people in China like Li Bai came to visit this tower, so there are a lot of poems on the tower.

Mogao Caves[edit]

Mogao Caves are in Dunhuang, Gansu Province. It ia isnamed Thousand Buddhas Cave and it was built 2000 years ago. It is the largest, longest, and the most well-preserved buddhist cave in the world. It is also one of the most famous caves in China. Mogao Caves is famous for its murals from the Wei Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty. So the styles of the murals have changed a lot.
