Farouk Abdelkader (Arabic: فاروق عبدالقادر) was an Egyptian author. he was born in 1938 in Beni Suef governorate, and he loved the Holy Quran.[1]
Life[edit]
The late critic Farouk Abdelkader graduated from Ain Shams University, in the field of psychology in May 1958, and has been placed in B grade. He worked as a secretary to edit AlMasrah magazine. He was responsible for the Arts and Literature Department of AL-Taliah magazine, which was published by the Al-Ahram Foundation. In the fifties, he travelled to Saudi Arabia to work on the Al-Nadwa newspaper, where he published many articles about the new trends in philosophy and literature; then he worked for a short time in the General Information Authority. Abdelkader wrote and translated up to about twenty-five books, the most important in the field of authorship: “The Rise and Fall of Egyptian Theatre”, “A Window on the West Theatre”, “Papers of ash and ember”, “Vision of reality and concerns of the contemporary revolution”, “From rejection and acceptance papers”, “Dem tunnel and few lights”, “From the papers of soft time” and “Find elusive definitely in the stories of Yousif Idris”. Farouk was alone after the death of his older sister, who was taking care of him. He won the State Award for Excellence in Literature. A few hours after the award was announced,[2] he died in June 2010.[3][4]

- He received the state award for excellence in literature of 100 thousand Egyptian pounds (17,600 dollars) after voting on a number of literary and critics nominated for the award.[8][9]
