FedEx Express Flight 6238 was a scheduled international flight on May 8, 2024, from Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, to Istanbul Airport in Istanbul. After two previous missed approaches, upon landing after touching down, the front nose-gear remained stuck and retracted, resulting in a crash landing with fire. The Boeing 767-3S2F was a nine-year and five month old aircraft delivered to FedEx in 2014. The registration number is N110FE along with the serial number, 43542 LN:1074. The first flight was recorded on November 24, 2014.[4][5]
Aftermath and Investigation[edit]
After the crash, multiple emergency vehicles approach the crash scene blocking the entire runway; the crash is still under investigation.[6]
