    Filestash (formerly named Nuage) is an open-source software providing a user interface for a range of cloud storage protocols and platforms including FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, Git, Amazon S3, Minio, LDAP, CalDAV, CardDAV, Mysql and Backblaze B2.

    History[edit]

    The development of Filestash started in 2017 [3] from the idea that file hosting services shouldn't be their own walled garden but integrate with all the tools, protocols and backends servers built in the last few decades and be more in line with the UNIX philosophy.

    As of January 2020, Filestash has been downloaded more than 400 000 times [4] and was featured in a range of specialised news outlet, videos and posts [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] Notable users includes Fortune 500 companies like Schneider Electric and universities such as INSA Toulouse[17], University of Auvergne[18], the Bern Technical College and the [19], [20]

    Development[edit]

    The Filestash project is under active development led by Mickael Kerjean, written using the go programming language. Internally it is built as a framework to generate CRUD type of application for systems that can be modeled as a tree.

    The development focus on integration with more online file storage while staying simple and not daunting to a novice user.
