Fiper is a news aggregator software for mobile devices (Android, iOS) and web browsers which uses RSS to aggregate news articles and display them.
History
It was first released[3] for the Dutch audience by Edeas in 2018[4] as a hobby project. It still is.
The idea for starting Fiper, was to make an RSS-reader that is as visually pleasing and easy to use as modern news apps on mobile devices. In order to do that, Fiper wanted to refresh the user interface and get rid of the tree-like design of traditional RSS-apps.[5] It also enhances the data from RSS-feeds with the metadata of the aryticles themselves and it helps users finding RSS-feeds with an automatic feed searching feature.
Mobile app
The first version was made using Meteor.js. In 2021, Fiper was rebuilt using Flutter and a separate server running Node.js
