Overview[edit]
George Fraser is the CEO and Co-founder of Fivetran.[5] The company builds automated data pipelines that centralize data from various sources like Netsuite and Salesforce into cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake,[5] Amazon Redshift,[7] Microsoft Azure and Google BigQuery.[8]
Product[edit]
Fivetran data pipelines replicate business data from different sources into cloud data warehouses and automatically update changes. Customers can then use business intelligence tools to build dashboards for live analytics.[5][9] Hence, Fivetran can be used to integrate data sources to generate key performance indicators (KPIs) and other insights into an organization’s performance.[5][9] Fivetran data pipelines represent a modern approach to data engineering known as ELT (extract, load, transform), as opposed to the more traditional method of ETL (extract, transform, load).
Capital[edit]
Fivetran has raised $15.1 million from Matrix Partners, Y Combinator, Otter Consulting and Tim Draper.[10][11][2][12][13] Ilya Sukhar, the general partner at Matrix Partners, joined the Fivetran board under the terms of the deal.[3]
