François Coyle de Barneval
François Coyle de Barneval was the husband of Marie Rose, the third daughter of Jeanne Dupleix by her first husband, Mr Vincens. He married her in 1738. Coyle de Barneval was a merchant under the British East India Company and, at that time was a resident of Fort St George at Madras. He was of some minor importance during the occupation of Madras by the French rulers of Pondicherry.[clarification needed]
