Frank Smythe Craft, Jr. is an American entrepreneur, film producer, and politician. Craft's businesses have largely focused on Visual Arts, beginning with an independent film production company he co-founded while a student at University of Central Florida.[2] In 2021, Craft entered into politics for the first time, competing in the 2022 United States House of Representatives elections.

Early life and career[edit]

Born in Memphis, TN in 1983[3], Craft moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1993. He attended the University of Central Florida and spent those college years producing[4] the award-winning[5] independent film Loren Cass. The screenplay for Loren Cass has been archived by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as part of their Core Collection.

Upon graduating, Craft moved back to St. Petersburg, FL where he has lived ever since.[6] In his remote role as the GM of Belger Arts[7], Craft was key[8] in creating the Belger Crane Yard Studios complex which is home to a contemporary art gallery, professional ceramics studio and The Lawrence Lithography Workshop[9] , where Master Printer Mike Sims[10] completed a number of prints featured in the Library of Congress.[11]

Frank also owns Green Bench Flowers, in St. Petersburg, FL and has been a vocal critic[12] of government-mandated closures of local businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Frank Craft filed paperwork[13] to begin his campaign to represent Florida's 13th district[14] in the United States House of Representatives.
