About Fremont Pride

Fremont Pride is an organization in Sandusky County, Ohio, that aims to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community located in Fremont, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Their mission is to embrace diversity, prioritize activism, uplift unheard voices, and create a safe space for members of the community.[1] Fremont Pride hosted their first pride event in 2021 and has continued to do so annually since. Their range of events has grown since their founding, now including Queer Prom, multiple drag shows, and their Rocky Horror Dinner Show along with the annual Pride Festival.[2]

Fremont Pride Festival

Starting in 2021, Fremont Pride has hosted pride festivals at Walsh Park in Fremont, Ohio. The festival has over 40 entertainers, local food trucks, vendors from local businesses, and over 2,000 attendees from the community.[1] In 2022, the first pride parade in Fremont was held before the start of the festival.[3] The parade is followed by performances, speakers, and different family-friendly activities such as face painting and games.[3] The festivals have had a lot of support from the community, and Stevie Keck said that the community has been “very generous in supporting Fremont Pride,”[3]
