French Bull LLC, also known as French Bull by Jackie Shapiro, is an American company located in Manhattan. French Bull designs and manufactures houseware goods, handbags, and more. Started in 2002, the privately held company is best known for its use of the material melamine, and its identifiable patterns and colors.[1][2]

Products and designs

French Bull launched its first products in 2002. Since then, it has expanded its line into five core areas: Flatware, such as dinner plates, salad bowls, trays, cups, bowls, napkins, runners, etc.;[3] home entertaining (ice buckets, Lazy Susans, serving platters);[4] baby products (bowls, plate and spoon gift sets, baby trays with lids, sippy cups); and children's products (everyday plates, bowls, and juice cups).[5] French Bull has partnered with several companies including Target, Mead, BuiltNY, and Deva Designs. These partnerships have resulted in several new products such as a full stationery line, gift wrap, lounge wear, bags, accessories, gift cards, laptop cases, wine totes, notebooks, binders, and wall art. French Bull holds over 40 copyrights for its proprietary patterns.
