Freshdesk was founded by Girish Mathrubootham in 2010 with his friend Shan Krishnaswamy as co-founder.[6][7] The company has offices in San Bruno,[8]Chennai,[9]London,Sydney and berlin.[10] The products include Freshdesk (June 2011), Freshservice (January 2014) and Hotline (February 2016). In October 2011, the company raised $1 million in a Series a round from Accel Partners [11]., and has subsequently raised addition funding, raising its capital to $150.5 million.[12]

Acquisitions[edit]

Freshdesk acquired chat app and bot creator Chatimity[13] a chat app with 3 million registered. It can be used to make business-to-consumer bots,[14][15] and A.I.-powered bots like MITI, which uses natural language processing to automate thousands of conversations at once.[16] It has acquired Pune-based framebench , an online collaboration platform.[17] In April 2016, it l acquired Airwoot[18] its 5th acquisition that uses machine learning.[19] Its other three acquisitions by are Konotor (for its products for mobil)e,[20][21] frilp and 1click.[22] It acquired Frilp on October 1, 2015[23] which stands for friends help that connect users with local services.[24] On August 18, 2015, it acquired video chat solution 1click.[25][26]
