frooze is a video-sharing social networking service owned by frooze Labs, a Switzerland-based company founded in 2019 by Thilo Jaeggi. [1] It is used to create short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos, which are called "froozes". The app will launch in June 2020 for iOS and Android. The application allows users to create short videos up to 12 seconds in length. frooze will not be available in China, and its servers are based in Switzerland.
History
Idea
frooze was heavily inspired by TikTok, but it adds many more features to the user experience and also focuses on TikTok's significant safety concerns, such as privacy and censorship.
Features
The frooze app allows users to create short clips, also called "froozes," which can be sped up, slowed down, or edited with a filter.[citation needed] To create a music video with the app, users can upload their own background music from their phone, edit with a filter, and record a 12-second video to share with others on frooze or other social platforms. They can also film short lip-sync videos to popular songs.
The “Recommended” page on frooze is a feed of recommended videos to users based on currently popular clips.
User characteristics and behavior
Target Demographic
frooze's main target demographic is teens.
Censorship
Unlike TikTok, frooze does not censor any political views or ideologies as long as they do not insult or threaten a particular group of people.
