Funded Today was established in 2014 on December 9th in Utah by Thomas Alvord, who serves as the Chairman of the Board, and Zach Smith who serves as Chief Executive Officer.[5][6][7] The company works in the field of services to crowdfunding entrepreneurs through consultation and marketing.[8] Funded Today supports entrepreneurs globally to market their campaigns on either Kickstarter or Indiegogo.[9][10] Funded Today's area of operation is worldwide. In 2016, company's revenue exceeded over $9.4 million.[11][12] The company has raised over $156 Million between 2014 and 2017.[13] Funded Today does not consist of a hierarchy of full-time salaried employees, and all of its 50+ contracted workers work remotely.
