Future The DAGON (Burmese: ဒဂုံတက္ကသိုလ် ကျောင်းသား၊ကျောင်းသူများအသင်း) was founded in December 2015. It is one of the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Yangon. It is responsible for Dagon University becoming a smart university. This organization is one of the most active organizations in Dagon University.

History

In December 2015, Future The DAGON was founded as a Dagon University students' network. Later, in June 2017, it was legally organized as an organization in Dagon University. Future The DAGON members were elected as central executive committee members of the Dagon University Students' Union in 2016 and 2017.

Five policies

  • To advance the interests and rights of students;
  • To achieve an education system that can generate qualified students;
  • To establish a modern university campus;
  • To exist as an independent Students' Union; and
  • To flourish the culture and identity of any ethnic student in the university campus.

Leadership

Future The DAGON elects its leadership democratically, with leaders of the organization serving one-year terms in accordance with the Future The DAGON constitution. Ko Min Thukha Kyaw is the founder of Future The DAGON. The following is a list of the organization’s current leaders who were elected at Future The DAGON’s Conference convened on 18 February 2020, to serve a one-year executive term.

  • Dagon University activities
  • Educational activities
  • Social activities
  • Planning activity programmes for future activities.
