GENIC pronounced as "jenikku", is a seven-member mixed Japanese pop group (or so-called; co-ed group) [1]and made their major debut on May 2020, with the album " GENEX". They belong to Avex Management agency and are signed under Avex Trax.
Their fandom name is "𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻". And they called their fans "𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗺𝗶𝗻".

Debut[edit]
The members are selected from the new dance and vocal group development project called a-genic PROJECT that inherits Avex's DNA. The group is born after the activities of the limited-time survival unit that took place in the summer of 2019. They even released their first pre-debut MV in December 2019 with the song 夏恋 (Natsu Koi; Summer Love) that got produced during the survival program. After a gauntlet of exhausting lessons and live performances, the official seven members were chosen later in August the same year. Adopting the new name "GENIC", they released their first compilation in November called "SUNGENIC EP". And had their first show "GENIC Premium Showcase" in December at Tsutaya O-West, marking their first steps in growing into their own shoes. In January, they also appeared as an opening act of Da-ICE BEST TOUR 2020.

Atsuki Mashiko (増子敦貴) was born on January 5, 2000, in Fukushima. He was a member of the mixed dance and vocal group "α-X’s".
Joe Nishizawa (西澤呈) was born on February 28, 2003, in Kanagawa. He was a member of the mixed dance and vocal group "α-X’s".
Kakeru Amemiya (雨宮翔) was born on August 9, 2001, in Kanagawa. He was a member of the boys dance and vocal group "BE×DUNK".
Maiki Nishimoto (西本茉生) was born on October 19, 1998, in Okayama. He was a member of the mixed dance and vocal group "α-X’s".
Maria Kaneya (金谷鞠杏) was born on December 31, 2001, in Akita. She was a member of another girls group "QUEENDOM".
Yurari Ui (宇井優良梨) was born on December 26, 2004, in Aichi. She was a model for "Pink Latte". She is the youngest member.
