GM Modular is a manufacturer of electrical solution products such as LED lights, fans, wires, cables, switches, switchgears, irons, headphones, Bluetooth speakers, water heaters, home protection items, home automation items, pipes, and fittings for homes and commercial use.[3]
History
GM Modular was founded in 2002 with a vision to simplify lives with high-quality, innovative products.[4] In 2009, the company launched modular switches in various colors and textures, and in 2016, it introduced LEDs under the G-Lux series. In 2009, GM Modular also began manufacturing switchgears and safety products like MCBs, DBs, and isolators. The company expanded into home appliances in 2018 with the launch of fans.[5]
GM Modular expanded internationally in 2019 by starting operations in Nepal and launched the premium lighting solution Occhio in India.[6] The company opened customer experience centers in Andheri, Mumbai in 2019,[7] and Surat in 2023.[8] In December 2023, the Gujarat CM Bhupendrabhai Patel inaugurated the GM Modular Showroom in Ahmedabad.[9]
In 2023, GM Modular launched a water heater product and in 2024, a campaign featuring Bollywood actors Suniel Shetty and Athiya Shetty showcasing their new range of color switch plates.[10] In July 2024, the company introduced the GM G+ headphones and GM G+ Bluetooth Speaker, and opened an Experience Center in Chennai.[11]
Association with Films
GM Modular has collaborated with Bollywood films. Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria promoted their film 'Tadap' at the GM Modular store.[12] In 2023, GM Modular was an associate partner of the film 'Jawan.'[13]
Festival Celebration
GM Modular is associated with various festivals. The company is involved in the Navratri Mahotsav held at Mira Bhayandar.[14][15] In 2024, GM Modular launched a music video to celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival.[16][17] In 2023, the company presented the Durga Puja campaign 'Sharod Anjali' on unsung heroes of Kolkata.[18]
