GRYT Health is a healthcare company based in Rochester, New York that connects cancer patients and caregivers to help improve health outcomes.
History[edit]
Dave Fuehrer incorporated GRYT Health on February 2, 2016.[1] He is a two-time cancer survivor.[2] GRYT Health launched a web-based communication platform in 2018[3] that allows patient and caregiver matching, chatrooms, and programs for its users.
Vivibot[edit]
GRYT Health announced in October 2019 it had integrated Vivibot, an interactive health bot created to help cancer survivors learn practical coping skills.[4] Vivibot is a chatbot that was initially created by Hopelab.[5] Vivibot was found to deliver positive psychology skills and promote well-being among young people after cancer treatment in a research paper published at JMIR Publications.[6] Vivibot was featured in a BBC News story in January 2020.[7]
Recognition[edit]
In 2018 GRYT Health was named as a SCOPE Patient Engagement Award Finalist.[8] They also won a 2018 Appy Award for "Best Non-Profit App".[9] In 2019 GRYT Health hosted the Global Virtual Cancer Conference. They had over 3,000 attendees.[10]
