GamesByMo is a Canadian video game developer based in Montreal. The studio was founded in January 2012 by Moise Breton better known in the video game community as "Mo".[1]

History[edit]

Gamesbymo was founded in 2012 by Moise Breton (working in the video game industry since 2004 as a 3D artist and Art Director). Their first game prototype of “A.N.N.E” was made using the Media Fusion engine by Mo with additional animations by Matt Karpinski, additional code by Takaaki hashimoto (Peposoft) and Music by Tomoharu Yamashita (MiYAMO).

In mid 2013 Gamesbymo was able to raise funding for A.N.N.E using Kickstarter. They met their goals [2] to get the little game concept off the ground and the company started.

The game never met its late 2014 release date and in 2015 the game was suffering from multiple technical issues that pushed Mo to actually consider completely redoing the game in unity. Mo also took time away from making the game that year in order to find additional funding for the game.

In 2016, Gamesbymo receives funding from the Canada Media Fund. Following this great news Sebastien Dodier Bernier (programmer) joined the team full time enabling Mo and Seb to change game engine essentially redoing A.N.N.E using the Unity engine.

After a long development process and Mo being practically a one man team until 2016, A.N.N.E finally saw Early Access release on Steam [3] on June 25th 2019 with a the full version planned for release on May 20 2020.
