Gary Glassman (dentist)
Gary D. Glassman, DDS, FRCD(C) (born April 30, 1959) is a endodontist, speaker and lecturer, philanthropist and media personality known as Dr. G. He is the founder of The Goodwill Oral Health Project.
Education[edit]
Dr. Glassman graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1984.
A graduate of the Endodontology Program at Temple University, Philadelphia PA in 1987. He received the prestigious Louis I. Grossman Study Club: Richard F. Weiss Achievement Award for academic and clinical proficiency in endodontics.
Professional career[edit]
Dr. Glassman maintains an endodontic practice in Toronto, Canada. He is the Endodontic Editor for Oral Health Dental Journal and is an international lecturer on endodontics. has presented at major dental conferences around the world including the annual conference for the: European Society of Endodontology, The Canadian Dental Association, The Ontario Dental Association, The California Dental Association, The Texas Dental Association, and the Irish Dental Association.
He is a Fellow and Endodontic Examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International Honors Dental Society and the Academy of Dental-Facial Aesthetics.
Dr. Glassman is currently on staff at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in the Graduate Department of Endodontics and is Adjunct Professor of Dentistry and Director of Endodontics at the University of Technology, Jamaica.
Philanthropy[edit]
The Goodwill Oral Health Project, a humanitarian effort dedicated to the global advancement of oral health in frontier and developing nations. Founded by Dr. Gary Glassman and Dr. Boksman, its efforts have brought teaching dentists to further the skills of local dental care providers. Their work has included helping to graduated the first class of 22 certified dental surgeons at the University of Technology’s (UTech) College of Oral Health Sciences in Jamaica after completion of the five-year degree program in Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD).
