Gaurav Singal (born March 23 in India) is an Indian mathematician and theoretical computer scientist. Gaurav's unexpected and original contributions are providing critical insight into unresolved problems in the field of computational complexity.
Education
Early in his schooling days, Gaurav was identified as a very bright student by Government Model High School head master B.K. Chawla. He was a topper in the secondary and higher secondary school board exams as well. Gaurav obtained his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 1999.
He received his Master's degree in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Chicago under the supervision of Ugo Buy.
