[1]Gaziosmanpaşa Anatolian High School (Gaziosmanpaşa Anadolu Lisesi, or briefly GAL) is a 4-year Anatolian High School located in the European side of Istanbul, Turkey. The primary languages of instruction are Turkish and German. The secondary foreign language is English.[2]
Education[edit]
The school lasts for 4 years. In the first years, the courses are mainly English or German, depending on the foreign language department placed with LGS. With the choice of field in the 11th grade, the courses begin to be taught with a focus on YKS and are optionally supported by the school with weekend courses. The success graph in YKS is in the upper regions. The high school produces graduates from well-known universities such as Boğaziçi University, Galatasaray University, ITU, Bilkent University, Koç University and Yıldız Technical University.

A principal, two vice principals and 46 educators work at the school.
Physical Facilities[edit]
The school building consists of ground + 4 floors and there are 27 classrooms, a library, German and English classrooms, physics, chemistry, biology laboratories, IT class, painting workshop and physical education hall in the building.
Erasmus+ Projects[edit]
3 EU project studies are carried out. By the help of these projects, students have the opportunity to see different countries and cultures on site, and they had the experience of hosting the incoming Exchange students at their homes and introducing them to Turkish culture and Istanbul.[3]
Social Events[edit]
GAL German Tastes Day, which has become a tradition since the establishment of the school, is one of these events. In the event, students cook special meals for German culture, these meals are bought by the students as a bazaar and the money collected is sent to charities.
