Geetayan, is a recent collection of essays written by Anand Kumar with the objective of helping the youth understand the philosophy and wisdom contained in the Bhagavad Gita. He uses stories, plots from movies and other interesting stories to explain the plot.
Anand Kumar wrote Geetayan during a period when Indians were under a lockdown phase due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was influenced by the experiences of other ascetics who have tried to explain the Bhagwad Geeta from time to time. Published on 06 January 2021, the first edition sold out by March 2021.
Background
It initially started as social media posts which soon rose in number. Very soon the public was demanding it in printed form. Anand Kumar published it as an ebook initially.
Reception
Geetayan was received well by the public. Within the first year of publication, more than two editions sold out.
