Geoff B Marshall CChem is a retired research chemist, author and an accredited Blue Badge tourist guide[1].

Marshall grew up in Staffordshire. He studied chemistry at Aston University and Imperial College. Upon graduation, he worked as a research chemist for the Central Electricity Generating Board, specialising in environmental analytical chemistry.[1]

In 1996, Marshall made a complete career change and trained as a Blue Badge tourist guide, specialising in tours of Canary Wharf and the London Docklands, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and the British Museum. He has also written a number of books about local history, notably including the Docklands area.[2]

Awards[edit]

In 1993, Marshall was one of 16 recipients of the Anne Bennett Memorial Award, which is given for distinguished service to the Analytical Division of the Royal Society of Chemistry.[3][4]
