George Byrne (born 1976) is an Australian artist working in Los Angeles.[1]

Biography[edit]

Byrne was born in Balmain, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, and is of Irish and Scottish descent. His parents are Jane, a primary school administrator, and Robin Byrne, a semi-retired statistician and market researcher. He has three sisters, Rose, Lucy, who works for the Australia Council, and Alice, a painter.[2]

Byrne attended Balmain Public School before attending Sydney University and Sydney College of the Arts.
