George Gorchoff

George Gorchoff (October 1, 1914 – February 11, 2007) was an American machinist who allegedly worked for Soviet Military Intelligence (GRU) in 1943 during World War II. Gorchoff's code name with the GRU (as identified by the Venona project) was "Gustav."[1]
Gorchoff and two other New York agents were controlled by Pavel P. Mikhailov, the Soviet Union's Vice Consul in New York who also controlled military intelligence for the NKVD.[2]
