GetAgent is an online real estate company headquartered in London, England. The platform aims to facilitate the process of matching homeowners with real estate agents who meet their requirements.[6][3]

History and Founding[edit]

GetAgent was established in October 2014 by Sebastian Powell, Colby Short, and Peter Thum-Bonanno. Of the three, only Thum-Bonanno had prior experience in the real estate sector, having founded the real estate portal FindProperly, which was later acquired by Lokku/Mitula, the parent company of Nestoria. GetAgent was formally launched in February 2015 and was developed to provide a more transparent method for choosing real estate agents.[7]

Company Development[edit]

Within six months following the launch, Colby Short took on the position of CEO. During his tenure, the company experienced growth. Sebastian Powell, who was instrumental in the initial development of the platform, later shifted focus to other projects within the property technology sector but remained involved in an advisory capacity.

As of 2023, the company has received backing from various entities, including Channel 4, Seedcamp, 500 Global, and Marchmont.[7] Since its establishment, GetAgent has facilitated connections between 600,000 homeowners and real estate agents, formed partnerships with approximately 7,000 agents, and been involved in property transactions in the UK amounting to £145 billion.

Additional Activities[edit]

Besides its primary services, GetAgent also releases statistical research and data related to the real estate market.[8][9][10][11][12]
