Ghamra is an elevated station on Cairo Metro Line 1 of the Cairo Metro, Egypt’s rapid transit system. It serves the Ghamra district in central Cairo.
Overview
The station was inaugurated in 1989 as part of the first phase of Line 1. It plays an important role in connecting residential areas of Ghamra with downtown Cairo.
Location
Ghamra station is situated between El-Demerdash and El-Shohadaa, the latter of which is a major transfer hub to Line 2.
