Manuel Ramos (GLUB) (Born in 1969) is a Spanish artist. He was a pioneer and key figure in the graffiti movement that dominated Madrid during the second half of the eighties.
Early life
Ramos was born in Madrid, Spain.
Career
He began his graffiti work in 1986 in Madrid. For over thirty years, he has enjoyed a substantial artistic career in this field, which has made him one of its most prominent figures nationally and resulted in numerous exhibitions and publications.
He has also pursued painting on canvas, experimenting with various approaches and techniques. Geometric abstraction is his most notable style in this area, and he also has a strong artistic career in this field.
Today, Manuel Ramos is an established artist focused on traditional artistic production.
Glub's paintings are included in the permanent collection of the MuCEM Museum (Marseille, France)[2]. Images of his graffiti years appear in the books Graffiti World: Street Art from Five Continents[3] , Pioneers of Graffiti in Spain[4] and Madrid Graffiti 1982-1995[5]
