Manuel Ramos (GLUB) (Born in 1969) is a Spanish artist. He was a pioneer and main actor of the graffiti movement that dominated Madrid during the second half of the eighties.

Early life[edit]

Ramos was born in Madrid, Spain.

Career[edit]

He started with Graffiti in 1986 in Madrid. For more than thirty years he has developed a firm artistic career this field, which has led him to become one of its most outstanding figures at national level and to appear in countless exhibitions and specialized publications.
Parallel has practiced painting on canvas, experiencing various approaches and techniques. Being the Geometric Abstraction its most remarkable style in this area, developing also a firm artistic career in this field.

Today, Manuel Ramos is an established artist focused on artistic production on traditional bracket.

Glub' paintings are housed in the permanent collection of the Museum Mucem (Marsella-France)[2].Photos of his years as graffiti writer are featured in the books Graffiti World: Street Art from Five Continents[3] , Pioneers of Graffiti in Spain[4] and Madrid Graffiti 1982-1995[5]
