Greg Atkinson (born September 22, 1975) is a Christian author[1], international speaker and blogger. He is the founder of Worship Impressions[2] and the Executive Director of[3][4].

He is the creator of the first conference on biblical hospitality named First Impressions Conference on church first-time guest experience, with over 5000 attendees from 10 countries[5].

Atkinson is also a professional secret shopper[6][7] for businesses in the hospitality industry and church consultant for first impressions[8].

He is the author of a Bible plan for YouVersion called Take Courage, on facing fear and anxiety[9].

He is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council[10] and of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Professional Life[edit]

For the first eleven years of his career, he served as a pastor[11][12]. In 2004, he became as a church technical director in Dallas and in 2006 started doing consulting for ARC (Association of Related Churches)[13].

From 2013 to 2014 Atkinson became the editor of Christian Media Magazine[14] and since 2014 he has been a renowned professional secret shopper for churches and business in the hospitality industry.

In 2016 he accepted the role of Executive Director for[15] and in 2017 he created the First Impressions Conference, the first conference dedicated to biblical hospitality and church first time guest experience.

Education and Personal Life[edit]

Atkinson was born in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1997, he received a Bachelor Degree in Arts, Church Music & Religion from the Charleston Southern University[16] and has done graduate work in worship and leadership at Liberty University.

Atkinson currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife (Chrissy Atkinson) and three children (Grace, Tommy, and Katie).
