Afterwards, the physical education teacher conducts some physical exercises. Then a student reads news for the day from the daily newspaper .

The school organizes literary and arts competitions round the year and participates in the ones organized by other schools, colleges, and organsations. The school has close ties with the Satnam Sarb Kalyan Trust, Chandigarh which organizes competitions all over Punjab. The school has won gold, silver, and bronze medals in this trust's competitions in lecture, poetry recitation, kavishari, kirtan, and more.

Annual Sports Meet[edit]

Guru Teg Bahadur Shahidi Purab[edit]

The biggest event of the school is the shahidi purab of Guru Teg Bahadur— the ninth guru of the Sikhs. Three days before the event, an Akhand Path is started. Students are allocated duties to serve the granthis round the clock. Saroop (body) of Guru Granth Sahib is kept at the examination hall for the first two days and nights. On the day of the event, tents are drawn in the main assembly ground and the Saroop is brought to the main stage. A separate lower stage is set-up just beside the main stage where students do kavishari, kirtan, recite poems, and sometimes do a play— all based on the life and teachings of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji. The sangat comprises of students, staff, administration, parents, and local sangat. After the ceremony is concluded, langar is distributed amongst the sangat which is prepared and distributed by students. No classes are held the day after this event.
