H. S. Bedi is a former Indian colonel and current businessman. He is Chairman and Managing Director of Tulip Telecom Limited.[1]
Career[edit]
Lt Col H S Bedi served the Indian Army for about 22 years. He took a voluntary retirement from the army and started his own company. Col Bedi started off the company with 4 employees in New Delhi as a software reseller. Later the company explored the field of network integration and implemented the world's largest wireless network in Mallapuram, Kerala.[2] The company explored the field of wireless communications and developed India's largest MPLS VPN network.[citation needed]
Col Bedi recently launched the Telecom Special Interest Group for The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE). He is also active on the World Economic Forum and recently spoke at the Dalian 2011 World Economic Forum meeting of the New Champions held in China.
