Halimah A. Najieb-Locke is an American defense policy advisor who serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for for Industrial Base Resilience in the Biden administration.[1] Previously, Najieb-Locke served in the Congress as a professional staff member for three committees.
Education[edit]
Najieb-Locke earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of San Francisco and a juris doctorate and master of laws from the George Washington University Law School.[2]
Career[edit]
Najieb-Locke began her career serving as a professional staff member on the House Small Business Committee. Later, she joined the House Armed Services Committee, as the acquisition counsel to chairman Adam Smith.
At the beginning of the Biden Administration, Najieb-Locke was sworn in as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense, Chief, Acquisition, Technology & Logistics.[3]
In May of 2022, Najieb-Locke was named as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Resilience.
